Women’s Health Clinic—Child & Youth Eating Disorder Program Development

We supported Women’s Health Clinic in developing a provincial program proposal for a new Child and Youth Eating Disorder Program. This initiative was designed to address gaps in timely, community-based care for children and youth, complementing existing hospital-based services.  We conducted a comprehensive literature review and environmental scan, alongside facilitated meetings with program and organizatinal leadership to assess capacity and align program goals and objectives with best practices in ways that avoided duplication or redundancy within the local context.

Impact:

Grounded in feminist, harm-reduction, and weight-neutral principles, the proposal outlined a comprehensive service model that emphasized equity, Indigenous food sovereignty, and culturally responsive care. The program plan secured provincial support to move forward with pilot implementation.
