Bison Research and Development’s head office is located in Manitoba on the traditional and ancestral lands of Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations. We acknowledge Manitoba is located on the Homeland of the Red River Métis and that northern Manitoba includes lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit. We acknowledge that Winnipeg takes its drinking water from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.

Bison also maintains offices in Halifax on the unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people and in Vancouver on the unceded and ancestral territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Through our work and alongside our clients, we provide services to all nations on these traditional and ancestral lands. We are thankful for the benefits of sharing this land has provided us.

We acknowledge that the acts of colonization which are part of our history have caused deep, lasting harm which continues today. We respect the spirit and intent of Treaties and Treaty Making and remain committed to working in partnership with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people in the spirit of truth, reconciliation and collaboration.
