Project
As Taking Charge! sought to strengthen outcomes and sustainability across its suite of employment and education programs, it identified a need for a comprehensive program review and evaluation. Bison Research & Development was engaged to assess program effectiveness, capture participant and stakeholder perspectives, and provide evidence-based recommendations for future program development.
What We Did
Conducted a multi-stream program review and evaluation, including document analysis, an environmental scan, staff consultation, participant focus groups, and external stakeholder surveys.
Impact
Reinforced the importance of client-centred, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally safe programming
Delivered recommendations across all program stages, from outreach to curriculum design and post-program supports
Provided a roadmap to strengthen program outcomes, consistency, and long-term sustainability
Directly informed TC!’s pilot of new program models and the development of a long-term evaluation plan
